Pre Purchase Survey of Electronics:
Everyone buying a boat obtains a survey prior to purchase but this rarely covers the condition of the electronics. After the hull and machinery, navigation equipment is the next biggest investment so it pays to get an impartial view on the condition of systems on board.
Onboard Computers:
Increasingly laptops and small servers are used for navigation as well MP3's and Movies. There is nothing worse than a frozen or crashed PC when your out on the water without the possibility of downloading an update or anti virus. All aspects of IT work undertaken onboard.
